Build your own Thruster / Quad / 5-Fin Grennan fins.

Jeff Grennan has been working on the design of his templates for years.
Over the last year we've been working with him to add a high performance foil in order to increase the flow and speed of his fins.

Jeff's idea was to pair a narrow base in order to decrease drag while adding lots or rake in order to retain control down the line and through turns. And boy was he right; his template has become a favorite in the San Diego glider scene and is used by the likes of Skip Fry and Bob Mitsven as well a tons of others.

The Grennan fins are part of our Apex Series lineup. Apex fins are made with precision foiled G10 fiberglass; G10 is made by compressing layers of fiberglass and epoxy resin and baking it an autoclave to have the maximum strength of any fiberglass available. Great fins

I really like these in my G&S egg. They do seem faster that a standard template. Nice release on re-entry, and plenty of drive off the bottom. The quality of the fins meets or exceed the major labels.

Great for boards with lots of drive and glide.

I've been riding these fins in my 5'3" Tomo Evo for the past year. I used to really enjoy swapping fins in and out of this board, but now nothing feels as good as these fins. I ride them as a thruster with larges in the front boxes and a small center fin. I weigh 145 pounds, but surf in a wetsuit year round. The fins have heaps of hold off the bottom, but feel nice and loose at the top of the wave. They look weird, but they are the most neutral, natural feeling fin that I have used. They never do anything weird. I think they are best suited to boards that have lots of drive and glide. When you switch to these fins that cruisey board starts to really light up. They feel fast from the moment you stand up. I would recommend getting a couple of different sizes of center fin so that you can dial in the feel that you want and tune them to different boards. I started off with a medium center fin, but I have since settled on the small.
